Equity, Inclusion and Non-Discrimination in the Workplace Policy

Applicable to : All members of the NexaRH team.

Jurisdictions covered : Canada (Quebec), France, United States and any jurisdiction where NexaRH operates for these international clients.

A respectful and inclusive work environment, compliant with Canadian, French and American legislation.

 

7.1 Commitment

NexaRH is committed to maintaining a work environment free from discrimination, harassment, and violence, where every individual is treated with dignity and fairness. This commitment applies to permanent employees, consultants, subcontractors, and job applicants.

 

7.2 Protected Databases

NexaRH prohibits any discrimination based on, but not limited to:

  • Sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation;

  • Ethnic origin, nationality, language, religion or beliefs;

  • Age, disability (physical or mental), pregnancy and maternity;

  • Socio-economic status, family situation;

  • Political opinions (within the limits provided by law).

 

This policy is in accordance with the Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms (Quebec), the Canada Labour Code, the French Law on Professional Equality (Pénicaud Law), and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act (United States).

 

7.3 Harassment Prevention

Psychological, sexual, or any other form of harassment is strictly prohibited. NexaRH adopts a broad definition that includes behavior in person, online (digital communications, social networks), and at professional events.

 

7.4 Equity in Remuneration and Opportunities

NexaRH is committed to pay equity (Pay Equity Act, Quebec) and equal opportunities for all professional opportunities: mandates, training, advancements and partnership associations.

 

7.5 Reporting and Handling of Complaints

  • Anyone can report discriminatory or harassing behavior to management, confidentially.

  • All complaints will be treated seriously, promptly (response time: 5 working days) and impartially.

  • No reprisals will be tolerated against a person who has reported in good faith.

  • NexaRH may call upon an external mediator if the situation requires it.
