Development of the Canada-France HR TECH ecosystem

This year, the HR TECH Innovation Summit is deliberately opening a window onto France and, more broadly, onto Europe. This is neither symbolic nor quaint. It is strategic.

Among the new features of this edition, the HR TECH Innovation Summit gives special prominence to France. A delegation of French startups, accompanied by Lab RH , will be present, while the first AI in HR Barometer in Canada will compare its results with those of France.

Why this Canada-France focus?

A TECH HR event must reflect the real priorities of its visitors.

Canada and Quebec are actively strengthening their international economic partnerships.

France and Europe are natural partners, particularly on HR, technological and regulatory issues.

1- Canada and Quebec are actively strengthening their international economic alliances. France too.

Under the leadership of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, and through several Quebec initiatives, partnerships with France and Europe are becoming increasingly natural and reciprocal. There are numerous Canada-France ties. The HR TECH ecosystem, traditionally less structured, needs to forge connections and build bridges.

A TECH HR event must be aligned with these strategic issues.

This editorial line was proposed as early as March 2025 in order to support the two technological HR ecosystems.

2- Data protection and technological sovereignty are becoming critical requirements.

Many organizations are reassessing their selection criteria, particularly regarding the residency of HR data. Understanding alternative HR tech solutions is now a crucial risk management tool.

The same applies to AI. Data localization, model transparency, traceability of AI usage, and the ability to audit suppliers are becoming key criteria for procurement teams and governance committees. These decisions have legal, ethical, and reputational implications for organizations and require a strategic approach that considers security, business continuity, supplier dependency, and alignment with Canadian regulatory frameworks.

3- Canada-France: Developing on both sides of the Atlantic.

The presence of the HR Lab represents a concrete opportunity for HR TECH publishers in Quebec wishing to develop business relationships in France and the French-speaking world.

They will have the opportunity to speak with its Managing Director, Séverine Loureiro . With nearly 300 members and over 80 French companies committed to HR innovation, Lab RH supports organizations with European ambitions. Séverine Loureiro will be in Montreal from February 9th to 13th to discuss these prospects.

The delegation of French startups brings an innovative and complementary offering, motivated in particular by the opportunity to meet their Canadian and Quebec clients. Participants are invited to meet them at the booth designated by the HR Lab.

4- Adoption of AI in HR: Canada-France Comparison

The first AI barometer in HR in Canada is directly inspired by the work carried out by Parlons RH , an HR media agency in France and co-organizer of the HR Technologies France trade show.

This collaboration highlighted the need for a Canadian survey to clarify the uses and perceptions of AI in business. The results will help identify similarities and differences between the two countries.

Special thanks to the promoter of the TECH RH Innovation Summit, Groupe LGX , for supporting this editorial initiative. Sébastien Gosselin and Daniel Langlois , its founders, are experienced in supporting entrepreneurial ecosystems through several major events, including Stratégie PME (14th edition). in November 2026). They contribute here to a first structuring.

Thank you for your interest and have a great TECH HR Innovation Summit .

Good rapprochement. Good alliances. Good innovations.
